Western States Pioneer Express Trail

This moderate out and back 8.7 mile hike begins at the historic "No Hands" bridge, and crosses a small stream before coming upon the impressive "Black Hole of Calcutta" falls. We will continue hiking to the American Canyon Overlook Park, where we will take a snack break before turning back. Well behaved dogs that get along well with other dogs are welcome. Be aware of and responsible for your dog at all times. We will wait 5 mins before starting.

Inside Gate 150 near the "Black Hole of Calcutta Falls" trailhead off of Hwy 49.

Parking is free. "Poppy Pass" parking is on Old Foresthill Rd.
