North Alabama Portrait Photography Collective (NAPPC) is a community for photographers, models, makeup artists, hairstylists, and wardrobe stylists who share an interest in creating intentional, high-quality portrait photography.

You don't need to be a professional to participate. You do need to care about the work.

Our focus includes traditional and environmental portraiture, beauty, fashion/editorial, creative and fine-art portraiture, maternity, senior portraiture, couples, glamour, and tasteful boudoir.

NAPPC is built around three types of experiences:

COMMUNITY — LEARN
Educational and social events focused on developing skills, exchanging knowledge, experimenting with lighting and equipment, portfolio critique, posing, styling, editing, and connecting with other local creatives.

COLLABORATION — PRACTICE
Organized TFP (Trade for Portfolio) collaborations where photographers, models, and participating creatives work together around a planned concept or photographic objective. Everyone contributes, and everyone should receive meaningful value from the collaboration.

SIGNATURE — PRODUCE
Curated, limited-attendance portrait productions designed to create exceptional portfolio-quality work. Signature Sessions may include selected models, coordinated wardrobe, professional makeup or hairstyling, planned lighting, distinctive locations or studio environments, and detailed creative direction.

NAPPC welcomes beginners, experienced enthusiasts, and working professionals. Experience level doesn't define membership here. Preparation, reliability, curiosity, respect, collaboration, and a desire to improve your craft do.

We are intentionally focused on creative portraiture. NAPPC is not a wedding, family, child, or newborn photography group.

Whether we're experimenting with one light in a park or producing a fully styled Signature Session, our goal isn't simply to take more photographs.

It's to become better at creating them.
