📍 Meet & Carpool – from my studio in Petaluma or meet us at Wild Flour Bread in Freestone for an artisanal start to our journey.
🚗 Scenic Ridge Top Views – the workshop begins where rolling hills, oak woodlands, and breathtaking panoramic overlooks stretch toward the horizon. Learn to frame vast landscapes and shifting light as we travel through one of Sonoma County’s most photogenic and remote routes.
🌲 Ancient Forests & Soft Light – Enter Kruse Rhododendron State Reserve, where towering redwoods and lush undergrowth create a dreamlike setting. Master techniques for working with soft, diffused light, capturing intricate textures of moss, ferns, and towering trees.
🌊 Dramatic Coastal Landscapes – At Salt Point State Park, discover weathered sandstone formations, wave-swept coves, and open coastal meadows. Experiment with long exposures, contrast, and leading lines to create dynamic, storytelling compositions.
