The Eclectic Grove: A Journey Through Diverse Pagan Paths
Mission Statement
At the heart of the Eclectic Grove lies a passionate commitment to celebrating the rich tapestry of pagan traditions. Our mission is threefold:
- Craft Exploration: We delve into the ancient and modern practices of witchcraft, magic, and ritual. From candle spells to crystal grids, from herbology to divination, our circle encourages hands-on exploration. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or a curious seeker, there's always something new to learn.
- Spiritualism Unveiled: The Eclectic Grove embraces the mystical and the metaphysical. We honor the interconnectedness of all beings, the cycles of nature, and the unseen realms. Our gatherings include meditation, trance work, and communion with spirits, gods, and ancestors. We seek to deepen our spiritual connections while respecting individual paths.
- Empowerment and Inclusivity: We recognize that paganism is as diverse as the changing seasons. Our circle welcomes practitioners from various traditions—Wicca, Druidry, Heathenry, Hellenism, and more. We celebrate gender fluidity, sexual orientation, and cultural backgrounds. Each member brings a unique perspective, and together, we empower one another to embrace authenticity and personal growth.
Gathering Under the Moon
Our circle meets during the phases of the moon, honoring the waxing, full, and waning energies. Our rituals blend tradition with innovation. We might invoke ancient deities one night and create modern sigils the next. Our altar holds symbols from different pantheons, reflecting the interconnected web of existence.
Wheel of the Year
Throughout the seasons, we celebrate the eight Sabbats—Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lammas, Mabon, Samhain, and Yule. Each turn of the Wheel invites us to explore different aspects of life, death, and rebirth. Whether we dance around a bonfire or share stories over warm cider, we honor the Earth's cycles.
Open Arms, Open Minds
The Eclectic Grove invites seekers of all backgrounds. Whether you're drawn to the Norse runes, the Egyptian mysteries, or the Celtic knots, you'll find a place here. Our elders share wisdom, our novices ask questions, and our solitaries find community. We believe that diversity strengthens our magic.

Curious about astrology but unsure where to begin? Join Michael H at Prism & Pendulum for a hands-on class designed for beginners. Go beyond your Sun sign as you build your own birth chart and explore what its placements mean.
We’ll begin with the mechanics of a chart, then move into interpretation. Using reference tables, a blank chart, and guided exercises, you’ll learn how to locate your placements and connect their meanings.
What you’ll learn
- Chart basics: Planet movement, astrological signs, and the chart’s reference points, including the ascendant, descendant, midheaven, and nadir.
- Building your chart: How to use tables to locate your Sun, Moon, planets, and North and South Nodes.
- Your Big Three: The meanings associated with your Sun, Moon, and Rising sign.
- Planets in houses: How planetary placements relate to different areas of life.
- Aspects and nodes: How placements interact and add depth to an interpretation.
- Elements and qualities: Patterns across the signs, with an introduction to compatibility and relationships.
You’ll leave with a chart you’ve worked on yourself and a foundation for continuing your own interpretations.
No previous astrology experience is needed.
What to bring
- Your birth date, birthplace, and exact birth time, if available.
- A pencil and eraser.
- The companion book, The Only Astrology Book You’ll Ever Need by Joanna Martine Woolfolk. Bring your copy or purchase one in-store at a 20% discount.
- A smartphone if you’d like to use the CHANI app to check your chart placements.
If you don’t know your birth time, you can still participate, although your ascendant and house placements will remain uncertain.
