Summer Solstice Litha Ritual

Celebrate the longest day of the year with an open minded, sacred community of Pagans, witches and all those curious about The Path. Litha, AKA summer solstice marks the longest day and shortest night on The Wheel of The Year, the Pagan calendar. We honor the light within us and all around us through the flame of alchemical transmutation.

High Priestess Dev leads the ritual in the Neo-Wiccan way. Participants are energetically cleansed with resin incense, energy is grounded, centered and open to higher realms to shift from the mundane to the magickal realms. Dev will cast the circle and call in the directions/elements. Participants will pull an oracle card for a message from Spirit, then our magickal work/play begins. Each person will inscribe their words of power onto a candle, anoint it with natural oils, then we co-create songs and chants based on the words inscribed in our candle magick. Energy is raised with drums, rhythm and dance around a central fire to “make it so”.
Ritual closes with “Cakes and Ale” (honey mead and a non-alcohol beverage), and a gluten free vegan treat.

All supplies are provided. You may bring your own drum or anointing oil if you have a special one you would like to use. Wear gold, red or orange to honor the vibrant and powerful sun.

We will be OUTSIDE, weather permitting. Bring layers for the night chill.
Park on the street. Walk down the long driveway to the 3rd townhome, follow the stepping stones to the back.
