What we’re about
This group is open to North County San Diego and Temecula/Murrieta residents only.
Sharon & Hal enjoy all types of food and are looking for others who will join us for dinner parties where we all participate in the fun. We'll take turns hosting supper club dinner parties where everyone searches cookbooks/internet for dishes to share for our themed dinner parties. We'd like to keep each event at about 8-10 people, and we are looking for both couples and singles. Our Supper Club is adults only.
Interested in Russian food? Thai food? Peruvian food? Ethiopian food? Add some really great music from whatever area we're exploring?
Let's get together and form this Supper Club into a group we'll all really enjoy. We personally love something as simple as throwing a great steak on the grill or putting together some spicy Indian curries or a fragrant Moroccan dish. We'd love to explore other cuisines suggested by our other Foodies. Let's explore the world through food.
It would be nice to pair our foods with some great wines or, because we're in a great craft brew area, a terrific selection of beers. And we always enjoy a well-put-together craft cocktail.
Let's do this!

This Supper Club will take place in a private home in Lake San Marcos.
Peruvian cuisine, the ultimate fusion food, reflects local ingredients from the indigenous population, including the Andean and Amazonian cuisine, and cuisines brought by immigrants from Europe (Spanish & Italian cuisines), Asia (Chinese & Japanese cuisines), and Africa (Maghrebi & West African cuisines).
The four traditional staples of Peruvian cuisine are corn, potatoes, Amaranthaceae (quinoa, etc.), and legumes. The most important ingredient in all Peruvian cuisine is the potato, over 3800 kinds, as Peru has the widest variety of potatoes in the world. Over 99% of all cultivated potatoes worldwide are descendants of a single subspecies originating in Peru (not Ireland).

As always, please list what you'd like to prepare and share so we can have a wide variety of foods, and no duplicates.
***To ensure a variety of courses/dishes, please read what others have posted before posting your dish. Click on "See More Comments" so ALL comments/posts are visible to you for review.***
IF you RSVP "Yes", change your mind, and do not change your RSVP to "No", you will be deleted from the group. We often have a Waitlist, plus our hosts arrange for the number of guests who have RSVP'd "Yes" and a no-show is insensitive to the host.
ALSO, if you are RSVP'ing for yourself and a "plus one", make sure there are enough spots for both of you.
ALSO, please come prepared with all platters & serving utensils you need to serve your dish.
Buen provecho
