We are a network of groups devoted to making North County an affordable, equitable, thriving community. Look through our events. We have active groups for Oceanside and Poway so far. All are welcome.
If you're interested in starting a group for your own city, shoot us a message and we'll help start one. We can host your events on the main North County Org page.
We started out as an Oceanside Strong Towns group, but it has exploded, so we're expanding to fit urbanism in all of North County. If our socials still show ST content, that's why. If you want to run the North County Urbanists social media, let us know!

Special Event! Vista Walk Audit
Buena Creek Station (Parking Lot), 2103S S Santa Fe Ave, San Marcos, CA, USThis month we're doing a walk audit in Vista. We'll meet up at Buena Creek Station (accessible by Sprinter, BREEZE buses 305, 322, and with a parking lot). As a group, we will make our way along Robelini Dr towards the shopping center at University/Sycamore and make a loop back. We expect the route to be ~1.6 miles round trip with more than half of the route on areas without sidewalks, and a small amount of unpaved/dirt side roads.
For those unfamiliar with a walk audit, please review the AARP's Tool Kit here. If you plan to attend the walk audit, we ask that you please read through the Tool Kit beforehand to familiarize yourself with the process. Also, please be sure you have downloaded the MyOceanside app beforehand as well, as we will be submitting tickets for safety improvements. Lastly, make sure you are wearing shoes suitable for walking!4 attendees
