What we’re about

Welcome to the North Georgia Motorcycle Club!

We are experienced riders who enjoy riding long days at a spirited pace on twisty mountain roads.
Can Anyone Join a Ride? \

Yes! We ride on the 1st Saturday and 3rd Sunday of each month, generally 200-300 miles, anyone is welcome. Everyone is invited to our monthly meeting on the 2rd Wednesday of each month. Meetings and rides are posted here on Meetup. Come check us out.
Is NGAMC for you? \

If you like long rides in the mountains of North Georgia, Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina, at a sometimes spirited pace, on challenging roads. If you are comfortable riding 200 to 300 miles in a day. Then you should check out this club.
If you prefer shorter rides less than an hour or are uncomfortable riding curvy mountain roads at a spirited pace, this is not right club for you.
Follow us Online \

We are all about riding, but we invite you to follow us online.

In 2019, we are initiated an annual $10 dues for membership after a 60 day free trial. This is to help cover the cost of the Meetup.com site and encourage members to participate. Come on out and meet up with us. You can pay your membership dues by PayPal using email: ngmotorcycleclub@gmail.com

History and Club Org: \

This riding club has been around since 1999 originating as the Honda Shadow Club and then renaming to encompass all interested riders and the area in which we ride.
The North Georgia Motorcycle Club is organized as an Unincorporated Volunteer Organization (two or more people joining together for a common purpose).

We have a bank account for nominal expenses such as this Meetup site but are not a "nonprofit" like a 501(c)3. We keep our expenses low so our members have more money for gas, tires, and oil.... \

On Auugust 9, 2023 the following five (5) new rules have now added for our group to ensure the safety of the riders:

1. Keep a safe distance from each rider by riding stagger and single-line in curves.
2. Allow each rider at stop signs, or a traffic signal, an adequate amount of time to proceed safely.
3. The larger the number of riders in a group ride will determine how fast or slow the ride will be.
4. For safety purposes, riders are not allowed to ride aggressively to the front of the group until the next stop and then proceed safely to the front.
5. Once the group has stopped and waiting for slower riders to catch up, the group will saftey proceed one person at a time.
