BDR 1 Utah and Colorado June 18-28
Details
This ride will focus on Section 1 & 2 of the Utah and Colorado BDR (BackCountry Discovery Route). BDR is mostly gravel roads with some rocky and sandy sections covering mountainous terrain so lot's of climbing and switchbacks as well. The payoff is being able to ride into the stunning scenery that is normally only viewed from a distance. Short Summary: Ride out to Mexican Hat UT. Then UT BDR for 2-3 days. After UT BDR we turn south to 4 corners and ride CO BDR for 2 days and head back home from CO. Probably around 4,000 miles of riding with 400-600 BDR stuff. Links to the BDR route maps below

This ride will require you to be comfortable riding off road for 100-150 miles stretches. I would recommend armored jacket and pants, ADV style riding boots and your bike will need at minimum 60/40 tires to handle the trail as well.
Ride will be limited to 6 riders due to the challenge of keeping everyone together on a trail. Sign up by no later than March 4 to reserve your spot! Jim, Marty and Michael are going as of Wednesday Feb 18.
If anyone wants to take their street bike along and rent an off road bike when we start BDR in Utah that could be an option. Or if you want to ride out on street bike and ride around the areas we are in and meet up in the evenings after we get back on the street that would work too.
