This group is for those who love outdoor activities. Hiking, camping, backpacking, mountaineering, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, spelunking, walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, as well as other sports, are all activities that are possibilities for our calendar.
By joining North Texas Outdoors you are agreeing with our Liability Waver and all it's terms which can be found here.

I fully understand and acknowledge that:
(a) outdoor recreational activities have inherent risks, dangers and hazards and such hazards existing by virtue of my participation in such outdoor recreational activities and the use of various equipment in connection with such activities as well as risks that may be encountered in transit to and from various venues where such activities may take place;
(b) outdoor recreational activities have hazards which may result from activities associated with strenuous outdoor activities, including, but not limited to, injury or death from personal limitations, falling, hypothermia, drowning, rock falls, snake or insect bites, lightning strikes, equipment failure, weather conditions, or errors of trip leaders or other participants or third parties;
(c) my participation in such activities and/or use of such equipment may result in injury or illness including, but not limited to bodily injury, disease, strains, fractures, partial and/or total paralysis, death or other ailments that could cause serious disability;
(d) by my participation in these activities and/or use of equipment, I hereby assume all risks and dangers and all responsibility for any losses and/or damages, whether caused in whole or in part by the negligence or other conduct of the members, agents, officers, trip leaders, or directors of NTO, or by any other person.
This agreement shall be construed by the laws of the State of Texas between the parties shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
I HAVE READ THE ABOVE WAIVER AND RELEASE AND AGREE IT IS MY INTENTION TO EXEMPT AND RELIEVE North Texas Outdoors., FROM LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR WRONGFUL DEATH CAUSED BY
NEGLIGENCE OR ANY OTHER CAUSE. I AM AT LEAST EIGHTEEN YEARS OF AGE AND UNDER NO LEGAL DISABILITY.

Camping, Kayak/Canoe at the K River Campground

This place is awesome! Something for everyone. Check out all the activities and accommodations on their website - K River Campground
Besides tent and RV sites, they have cool cabins, treehouses and glamping tents for rent. All the sites are fairly close, so you can book anywhere and you will be near NTO.Pricing if you would like to kayak or canoe on Saturday - 3-5 hour trip.
1. If you bring your own kayak or canoe - please contact K river for details and fees.
2. Single person kayak - $25 rental
3. Canoe - $35.00 rental feeIf you plan to kayak or canoe, please have prior experience. There is no instructions or guide on this trip.
Reserve online - K River Campground , put in the note section that you are with North Texas Outdoors. Also let them know if you need to rent a canoe/kayak or if you will be bringing your own and will need a shuttle.
Friday Arrive, set up camp and hang around campfire .
Saturday Time for adventure - visit the petting zoo, explore the ATV trails, swim float in the river or Kayak/Canoe the Kiamichi River.
Float trip on Saturday - Time TBD -3-5 hours trip. It may change due to access of the river. They will shuttle us up river and we paddle down and will end at the campground. The bottom of the river is rock, so bring water shoes that protect your feet. Pack a lunch, life jacket, sun screen, hat and beverages.
6ish - Saturday Night Potluck - bring something yummy.
Campfire Adult beverages and story time ( : Please purchase wood from K river campground.
ATVs and mini bikes are welcome.
This is a not a state park. If you are unclear of charges for rentals, amenities or sites please call the campground.
If you are booking a tent or rv site, you will need to bring your own tent or rv. Tent sites are for 2 people.
