Backpacking Basic Gear (Part 1 of 2)

Details
Learn about what you need to have an enjoyable and safe primitive camping experience.
We all know about car camping: basically load everything you can think of and drive to a state park and pull up to a concrete slab next to noisy RVs and a bunch of rowdy campers.
Primitive camping takes you off the beaten path and lets you enjoy the peace and beauty of nature.
We will cover primitive camping basics such as tents, sleep systems, backpacks, boots, food, cooking, rain, hygiene, safety, water, and ....restroom activities.
If you have some gear, bring it out. The group will benefit from exposure to a variety of equipment. Camping is not one size fits all, and there's no right or wrong way to do anything.
Bring a chair and water.
