Let's Camp at Meridian State Park

Lake Meridian State Park is a lovely small wooded park. It surrounds a 72 acre lake. The park has excelIent fishing with large mouth bass, catfish, crappie, and bream. And they have loaner tackle availble. Great lake for kayaking plus they have kayaks available for rent. There about 9 miles of hiking trails ranging from easy to challenging where you can see corp of engineer building from 1934 as well as scenic outlooks from limestone bluffs overlooking the lake. If your lucky you might even spy the endangered Golden-Cheeked Warbler and other wild life. Or you can just hang out and relax and enjoy the campfire later on. The Park is about 2 hours from Dallas, and about 1 1/2 hours from Ft. Worth. I have reserved site #14 from Friday to Sunday. Kids and friendly non-barking dogs are welcome. We will have a pot luck dinner Saturday night followed by a campfire.
