Last minute emergency cleanup at a little paddled creek in Loyd park! We still need a few more volunteers.

Celebrate our Texas paddle trails by participating in our Adopt-a-Stream cleanup with Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful. This is a chance to paddle a little used waterway and help the environment at the same time. Best of all--it's free!

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!
We will launch from Loyd Park on Joe Pool Lake near the boat launch and paddle Bowman Branch Creek, stopping to remove the pockets of trash that inevitably finds their way to the creek. Normally it is $20 per car to get into the park, but volunteers for this cleanup get in free, and if you need a boat, those are free as well so long as you preregister on the Grand Prairie Volunteer site and request a boat before Wednesday June 25 at 4 PM. (Limited number)
Snacks will be provided for the pre registered volunteers.
Once you register with Grand Prairie you will be sent a PDF of the pass you will need to get into the park for free.
