Emergency Clean Up Johnson Creek at Great Southwest Nature Park
Details
Last minute emergency cleanup at a series of small ponds off of HWY 360. We still need a few more volunteers with small boats or dry suits or waders.
This will be Amanda's last cleanup event with us in Grand Prairie. She will be changing her job to work in Fort Worth after this.
Celebrate our Texas paddle trails by participating in our Adopt-a-Stream cleanup with Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful. This is a chance to paddle a little used waterway and help the environment at the same time.
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!
This is an emergency cleanup is for a series of small shallow ponds near 360 in Grand Prairie.
Small boats and somewhat skilled paddlers are preferred for this. Dry suits or waders are also good as these are shallow ponds. Paddlers are encouraged to bring your own kayak, canoe, etc. but if you do not have one, or you are bringing a buddy who needs a boat, we've got you covered. If you need a free kayak and gear rental, please call me at 214 478-7856.
