Welcome to all Bay Area Photography Events!

Our Meetup is open to all photographers regardless of your current level of knowledge about photography, the kind of photography that you do or the type of camera that you use. We will have meetings, classes, workshops and group gatherings mostly in San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma and Napa Counties.

Group Outings, Group Photo Shoots, Lighting, Composition, Posing of Subjects, Working with Strobe Lighting in a Photo Studio, Natural Light Photography, Fashion and Street Photography. We are looking for people who have special talents that they are willing to share with the group in Lectures, Classes and Workshops.

Please contact us if you are interested in speaking at a meeting or in conducting a class or workshop. Our goal is to help everyone take better pictures, become a better photographer - and have fun.

Chase Hot Air Balloon through the Mustard Fields of Napa Valley Join "Friends of Photography" as we follow hot air balloons passing the fresh mustard fields of Napa Valley. The month of February is the perfect time of year for any photographer to make stunning the colorful mustard fields as balloons sailing over-head. Note: We will be photographing balloons from the ground, this is not a balloon ride. Tripods optional, wide angle lens and a 200mm is perfect. We will be car-pooling to different locations so please travel light! This event is limited to only 12-shooters so we can (hopefully) stay together as a group. Wear comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting wet. Temperature the day of event 45-73 degree's. The balloons leave around sunrise, so don't be late! Location of where we meet at 6:30 AM, see map. In the event the balloons do not sail (because of weather) we will turn our attention to other photographic opportunity in the area. Please bring a macro lens if you own one. If you know of someone who would like to model, please invited them (no charge). Note: This Meet-Up is not a photography "teaching" workshop but a group setting that shares photography ideas.
