Intentional Hike Honoring the Day out of Time

Details
Intentional Hike to the Chinese Tribute Bridge
This hike will journey out and back from the Nisenan Tribute Site Trail Head in Nevada City to the Chinese Tribute Bridge. Along its path we will honor the Day Out of Time. In the Galatic Calendar this day, July 25th, is a sacred pause — a mystical, timeless day that falls between the end of the old year (July 24) and the beginning of the new Galactic year (July 26). It’s not part of any moon or week cycle — hence, a day “out of time.” It's considered a day for:
- Forgiveness of the past
- Art, magic, music, and culture
- Peace and global harmony
- Spiritual renewal and celebration
We will begin this hike with meditation and breath-work, pause at the Chinese Tribute Bridge for snacks and water (bring your own) and connect with all the gorgeous nature along the way.
Trail:
We will meet at the Nisenan Tribute Site Trail Head on Champion Mine Rd, just above the Angkula Seo Suspension Bridge. There is parking along the Champion Mine Rd there. The trail will follow along Deer Creek, passing a waterfall and a short length of the NID creek. winding its way to the Chinese Tribute Bridge where there is a beautiful swimming hole and some picnic tables. The path has some incline and decline, a few switchbacks, and is not paved but mostly clear of rocks and roots.
