Meditative Hike: Empire Mine State Park (meet by Visitors' Lot restrooms)

Indian Ridge Trail meditative hike:
Enjoy a relaxing quiet, meditative walk through a cool, shady, sweet-smelling pine and cedar forest. Socializing is welcome and encouraged, but let's try to spend at least half of our time looking around at the environment and the wildlife and enjoying some meditative silence.
Trail Conditions: The trail consists of wide forested dirt paths ideal for group walking. There is some gradual up and down hill that anyone of average fitness can manage. The trail is out and back with some loops.
Distance: Just under 4 miles but can easily be made shorter if needed.
Elevation Gain: ~100 feet of elevation gain
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Time: Allow 2 hours for hiking, scenic views, and meditation.
Temperature: The current forecast is for low 80s in the morning and upper 80s for the afternoon high. We will cancel if the prediction is above 95.
Facilities: Ample paved parking with clean rest rooms and water.
Carpool: Hikers may make their own carpool arrangements if desired. The drive is about an hour from Roseville.
Equipment to bring: One quart of drinking water and a light snack. A hat and sunscreen. Good trail shoes.
