Introduction to Mosaic Art Class

Friday, May 16th, 2025, from 10:30am to 1:00pm at the Blue Moose Art Gallery

Learn the ancient art of mosaic-making but with a contemporary twist, using glass, stones, ceramic, china, and more! Taught by local artist, Renee Walkup, she’ll show you the secrets of nipping, cutting, placement, and the use of proper adhesives. During the class, you’ll design a square or round mosaic trivet, perfect for the kitchen or in the bathroom to hold your jewelry. Renee will grout your creation after the class ends and you’ll pick your finished treasure up the week after class! Note: All Materials are supplied, but students may bring items from home.

Feel free to bring china or memorabilia from home to include in your project. Eye coverings (glasses ok) No open food or beverage containers. AGES: 13-Adult.
