Bike Paved Trail near Boulder Junction

This time we are heading up to the Boulder Junction area to bike on the all paved trail from Crystal Lake Campground to Cathedral Point on Trout Lake. We will meet at the Crystal Lake beach parking lot at 1:00 pm. This trail is relatively flat with one rise (which I sometimes walk up) and a fun downhill. Round trip is app. 17 miles, unless you prearrange (before 1:00 pm) a shuttle with someone which would be a 8 1/2 mile ride. If you're concerned about being too slow and left alone in the dust, don't worry. This is a very noncompetitive relaxed bike ride. Bike Boulder Junction trail, Monday, June 16th, 1:00-5:00 pm, Crystal Lake beach parking lot. Our bike ride will take us through the Northern Highlands State Forest along the shores of South Trout Lake to Cathedral Point to rest, snack and enjoy the scenery. This is a great place to swim or wade in the lake. We will meet at the Crystal Lake beach parking lot at 1:00 p.m.. It's always a good idea to wear a biking helmet, bring a water bottle and of course snacks. Your vehicle will need a state park sticker which can be purchased at the entrance building to Crystal Lake Campground if you don't have one. There is the possibility of a social hour after the ride for those who wish to participate. Hope to see you on the trail. Directions from Rhinelander: 50 min (36 miles) From the intersection of Hwy K and Hwy 47 travel north to Woodruff and turn right on to Hwy 51. Turn right on to Hwy M for 2.7 miles. Turn right on to Hwy N for 2.3 miles. Look for the state's Crystal Lake/Muskellunge Lake Campground sign. Turn left and follow to the contact station. From there drive through the parking lot to your first stop sign intersection. Turn left into the beach parking lot where we will meet.
