Hike To Standard Peak

Details

Let's meet at the north end of Nucleus Avenue by the Shay Locomotive in Depot Park at 9 am. The hike is just under 6 miles round trip and 2,100 ft. elevation gain. Please bring bear spray, bug spray, sunscreen, water and lunch. I hope you can join me!
Here is a brief description: "Standard Peak, accessible from McGinnis Creek Road in Flathead County, Montana, offers a challenging yet rewarding hiking trail. The trail features a variety of natural landmarks, including a clear, flowing creek and a large, rocky outcrop known as the "Giant's Chair." The trail also passes through a dense forest of pine and fir trees, providing ample shade for hikers. At the summit of Standard Peak, hikers are rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. On clear days, it's possible to see as far as Glacier National Park."
