Let's get into our skis and onto the fresh snow at Marias Pass. The gentle slopes and wide open terrain make it a skiers delight. And did I mention the views? What's not to love?

We'll park and ski on the SE side of Hwy 2, away from the Park, starting out on Pike Creek Road and branching off. We won't have problems with downfall from the early winter storms along this route. We'll do a bit of climbing to get into the backcountry, with the views and terrain continually changing as we go along.

Due to the variable terrain and plenty of hills, I'd say this event is for intermediate and above skiers.

We'll ski about 5 miles out before heading back to the parking lot. 10 miles total.

Bring your BC XC skis (recommended), backpack with extra layers, sunglasses, food/snacks, ski wax, and plenty of water. Bring extra water and perhaps some dry socks for the ride back.

Let's meet at 9:00am at the park and ride at the corner of hwy's 2 and 206 and we'll figure out a carpool. Any questions - post them in the comments section. See you Saturday!
