Hike to Garry Lookout in the Flathead Nat'l Forest

Let's check out the Garry Lookout trail and pray for sunshine. Join the Rocky Mountain Explorers for a trek to this peak at the edge of the Great Bear Wilderness where there will be nice views all around. On a clear day you have views of St. Nick's in Glacier NP and Great Northern Peak.

Stats: 3.7 miles r/t, 879 feet of elevation gain

I don't think we'll need snowshoes and I'll let you know if that changes. Some of you keep your snowshoes in your car all winter, probably a good idea. Definitely bring your yaktrax, snow cleats, micro spikes, etc. Also bring multiple layers, food, etc. Bring trekking poles if you like to use them.

We'll meet at 9:00 at the commuter lot at Highway 206 and Highway 2 in front of the Starbucks and arrange a carpool.
