Hike/Snowshoe the Cascadilla Creek Trail to the base of Nyack Mountain
Details
The Cascadilla Creek Trail leads to a beautiful open meadow and a stellar view up to the peak of Nyack Mountain. We might need snowshoes for this one. I'll check into that and let you know. We'll take a nice little break at the midpoint of the trek.
Trail Length: 6.0 miles approx.
Elevation Gain: 1,000 feet approx.
The trailhead is along Hwy 2, 10-15 miles past (east of) West Glacier.
Bring your yaktrax, snow cleats, micro spikes, etc. (whatever you have). Also bring your rain gear, multiple layers, snacks, lunch, etc. Bring trekking poles if you like to use them.
Let's meet at commuter lot at Route 206 and Route 2 and arrange a carpool.
