Hike the Tally Ridge Trail (#458)
Details
Join the Northern Rockies Explorers as we trek to a beautiful overlook of the deepest lake in the entire state of Montana, Tally Lake. It's about 500 feet deep. This hike involves moderate climbing through a nice forested trail until we reach the overlook, where we'll break for lunch and enjoy the view.
There's going to be some downed trees on the trail fyi, you might want to bring some light gloves. This is normal this spring season - more calories burned.
Trail Length: 6.7 miles r/t
Elevation Gain: 1,286 feet

I don't think we'll need yaktrax, snow cleats, etc. Bring plenty of water, food, rain gear, multiple layers, etc. Bring trekking poles if you like to use them.
We should prioritize carpooling in vehicles that can get through a mucky 3 mile road to the trailhead. We'll meet in Whitefish at the Super 1 parking lot between McDonalds and the Wells Fargo ATM.
Trailhead is off of Farm to Market Road, closer to Whitefish than Kalispell.
