Enjoy a qiet Sunday afternoon 40 mile ride from McCarrons Lake in Roseville to Stillwater and back along some beautiful bike paths (and a short section of road riding).

We'll meet in the parking lot at the east end of McCarron's Lake (adjacent to Rice Lake). We'll take the bike path to Wheelock Parkway (it has a dedicated bike lane) and on to the Gateway State Trail. From there, we will head to the north end of Stillwater, stopping in town for a drink or snack. We'll follow the same route for the return trip.

The Gateway State Trail runs through forest along on old rail line. It is a popular trail for weekend riders with a steady downhill grade going to Stillwater. The climb on the way back provides a good but not strenuous workout for several miles.

Marti will bring saddlebags in case anyone isn't sure how many layers to wear and wants to bring extra clothes just in case.
