Elm Creek Double Header (Part 2)

Our last trip to Elm Creek Regional Park was hampered by the rain and cold temperatures, so we're headed back to the Park to try again. This will be a two part event, but you can sign up for either (or both) parts.

Part 1 will tour the park from 10:00 a.m. to noon before stopping for lunch at the picnic area at noon. Riders for Part 2 are invited to bring a picnic lunch and join the Part 1 group for socializing. Bring your own picnic lunch and drinks.

At 1:00, the Part 2 group will head south through the park to the Medicine Lake Trail, which will take us to Fish Lake Park. We will be on paved paths the entire ride, but we will not take the shortest route and may explore a little (I haven't been past Fish Lake Park on this trail, so we can go further if people are up for it), so the ride will end up being 20 to 30 miles. The average speed should be about 15 miles an hour.

If you just want to meet us for lunch at noon, that's okay too. The goal is for us to meet and get to know each other.

To get to the picnic area - From Highways 610 and 81 on the south edge of the park, take the Elm Creek Blvd exit and go north to the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the Park Rd. N/James Deane Pkwy into the Park. turn left into the parking area at the first crossroads. I will park as close to the entrance of the parking lot as possible.
