A guided group walk around scenic Lake Accotink and Park in Springfield. See the forest with fall colors! Trail is 7 km (4 miles) and goes around the Lake and thru a subdivision. It has some elevation gain.
The walk is $2 for guests to defray expenses for our sport and $4 for AVA walk credit. Please bring correct change in cash. We featured curated walks led by experienced members. Dogs and children are welcome but those under 18 must have a guardian present. Meet at the park entrance and parking lot at 5660 Heming Avenue, Springfield VA 22150 by 9:45 am to register, so we can leave promptly by 10 am. IMPORTANT: There are two park entrances, so use the one at 5660 Heming Avenue! Look for walk host Steve Brown standing by his car. After the walk join lunch at the Swiss Bakery, 5224 Port Royal Road, Springfield. Menu is located at https://theswissbakery.com/. Hope to see you there!
