See Lake Accotink in Springfield! Walk 5km (3.1 miles) around the Lake.

A guided group walk around scenic Lake Accotink and Park in Springfield. See the forest with fall colors! Trail is 5 km (3.1 miles) and goes around the Lake and thru a subdivision. It has some elevation gain.
The walk is $2 for guests to defray expenses for our sport and $4 for AVA walk credit. Please bring correct change in cash. We featured curated walks led by experienced members. Dogs and children are welcome but those under 18 must have a guardian present. Meet at the park entrance and parking lot at 5660 Heming Avenue, Springfield VA 22150 by 9:45 am to register, so we can leave promptly by 10 am. IMPORTANT: There are two park entrances, so use the one at 5660 Heming Avenue! Look for walk host Steve Brown standing by his car.
