Quick Facts

• No restrooms available at location
• Games cancelled by 5:00 PM if minimum players (12) not met
• Game starts at 6:05 PM sharp - arrive early to maximize play time

We play beginner-intermediate friendly coed pickup soccer every week on grass using:

• Bownet 5'x10' goals
• Low-profile cone boundaries
• Clean pinnies/bibs/mesh jerseys
• Professional corner flags

All skill levels and backgrounds are welcome at our pickup games. Friendly demeanors are cherished.
Game Rules & Guidelines
Basic Rules

• Penalties enforced
• Obvious offsides called
• Unintentional handball: play continues
• Goalkeeping optional
• Goalkeepers may use hands
• No slide tackling
• No overly aggressive play or language

Safety Requirements

• Footwear: Playing without shoes is NOT allowed
• Proper Cleats: Without turf/firm ground cleats, be mindful of your tackles - players tend to slip and slide with improper footwear
• Safety Enforcement: If safe play cannot be maintained due to footwear, organizer reserves the right to remove the offending player - safety is paramount

Self-Officiated Play & Foul Etiquette

• Call Your Own Fouls: If you know you fouled someone, immediately step back and become a "dead" player for 5 seconds
• Acknowledge Contact: Say "my bad" and/or ask if the player is okay
• Stay Out of Play: During your 5-second "dead" period, do not involve yourself in the ongoing play

Golden Rule
After a shot goes out of bounds:

• Shooting team retrieves the ball, regardless of who touched it last
• For corner kicks, the attacking team (not defenders) must retrieve their shot
• Quick corners allowed with nearby ball but original ball must be collected soon after play resumes

What to Bring
Required

• Cleats or turf shoes (playing without shoes is NOT allowed)
• Water bottle

Optional

• Shin guards (recommended but not required)

Large Turnout Management
When we reach 24+ players, we implement split games with separate fields to maintain quality play for everyone.
Equipment Credit System
Earn free games by helping with equipment setup and breakdown! Ask Sue about current credit balance.
Payment Information
Fees go towards laundry, equipment maintenance, and Meetup fees:

• Digital Payment (Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay): $4
• Cash: $3

Restroom Information
Restrooms are not available at the park. There are restaurants/coffee shops nearby at Valley View St and Lampson Ave. Please plan accordingly.
Liability
We do our best to facilitate safe, friendly soccer games for mature consenting adults. By willfully joining/participating in any events by NorthOC's Finest Soccer - Under Lights, you assume responsibility for all injuries/illnesses/deaths suffered and release the organizers from all liability.
