Our 8th annual infamous BIG DIG event WELCOMES all hikers who have hiked with us.
From 10-3pm Saturday, June 22, join our tramly’s annual seaside picnic. It’s a fun time to see old friends, meet new hikers explore the beach, watch the BIG DIG take place, OR join in the fun participating in getting that one geoduck. That means taking turns sinking the 3ft metal tube in the sand, shoveling sand out of tube, jumping on it to sink tube deeper into the soft sand and even getting down on your hands and knees reaching inside the tube to feel the siphon of the geoduck.
BIG DIG starts at 10:30.
Old shoes, crocs or boots are best on the beach.
Hamburgers, toppings, plates, cups, cutlery, and lemony artisan water, will be provided. Tables and umbrellas for your comfort, though your own camping chair can be more comfortable to relax in.
CHEF👨🍳Jim Hunt will be cooking hamburgers to your perfection and Tam Sue will bring veggie burgers.
You are welcome to bring appetizers, salads, or dessert.
Between 12-2pm appetizers and lunch.
Carpooling is suggested, the ferry line can be horrendously LONG! and Mukilteo's parking is only for 4 hours.
Mukilteo/Clinton ferry runs every 1/2 hour.
