Join instructors Kim & Chris Chisholm for a live class on nature journaling and an introduction to Wolf Journey Book One - Trail of the Neighborhood Naturalist from 9-10 AM, and then hang out for another half hour afterwards for questions and discussion. Google Meet link will be shared as soon as you RSVP.
Kim will show you her journal, and participants are encouraged to share an entry from their own physical or online journals to inspire others to observe, interact and reflect more deeply in nature. Kim & Chris will also demonstrate their favorite methods of drawing and sketching plants, animals and landscapes in nature.
Chris will show you his last original copy of Wolf Journey Book One - Trail of the Neighborhood Naturalist which he published in the late 1990s and now being updated and republished to https://www.wolfcollege.com/wolf-journey-earth-conservation-courses/neighborhood-naturalist/ for online classes and purchase starting Saturday, Sept 19th.
• The Neighborhood Naturalist is an excellent way for adults wanting to immerse themselves in nature, as well as for micro-school and home school students wanting a comprehensive nature curriculum. Fall classes run from Sept 19 - Nov 21, 2020 and guide you chapter-by-chapter through skills of the Neighborhood Naturalist. Cost for the ten Saturday classes is $295 including full access to our private community site for participants.
• Those who prefer using Wolf Journey - The Neighborhood Naturalist on their own time, rather than participating in live classes, can access the Neighborhood Naturalist chapters as they are rolled out over the academic year, and have perpetual access to our community sharing and crowd-sourcing site with resources and Saturday class recordings to watch independently, for $100, plus the option to drop into any class for $25.
Kim & Chris are also offering two separate class series on Tuesdays & Thursdays in the fall and spring. A full season of ten classes plus unlimited access to separate private community group sites costs $195, and just $50 per additional household member sharing a connection. Or drop into one class for $25 and stay online to ask questions afterwards. Maximum of 10-12 households per class series. • Tuesday Classes on Herbal Medicine & Plant Crafts in the Autumn Season run from Sept 15 - Nov 17, 2020, followed by Gardening & Cooking Wild Edible Food Plants in the spring of 2021. Tuesday class options include • 1 PM for micro-schools, homeschoolers, and youth and family; or choose • 5 PM for adults - with teens, high school and college students welcome.
• Thursday Classes on Wilderness Survival & Bushcraft Skills in the Autumn Season run from Sept 17 - Nov 19, 2020, followed by Wildlife Tracking & Birding in the spring of 2021. Thursday class options include • 1 PM for micro-schools, homeschoolers, youth and family; or choose • 5 PM for adults - with teens, high school and college students welcome.
