New Meetup: Little Si + Boulder Garden Loop Hike

Announcing a new Meetup for Eastside Hikers Meetup Group!

What: Little Si + Boulder Garden Loop Hike

When: December 24,[masked]:00 AM

Where:
Little Si Trailhead
44200 SE Mt Si Rd
North Bend, WA 98045

I LOVE this hike. Primeval forests, soaring cliff faces, grand moss-covered boulders, and a rewarding summit with spectacular views - and that's just the Little Si part of the hike (about two hours round trip). It's a great way to spend your day off of work before Christmas!

On the way back down those who want to extend their hike about another hour can join me on the Boulder Garden Loop Trail. It climbs a quick and rigorous 800 feet then levels out into a gorgeous rocky wonderland filled with intimate canyons and a "garden" of amazing boulders and fallen trees. The decent is gradual with tons of great viewpoints. It eventually reconnects with the Little Si Trail.

If Little Si is enough for you and you don't want to see the boulder garden, you can easily make your way back to the parking lot on your own. It's only ten minutes from the loop trail start point and you will have already hiked that part of the trail.

We will begin hiking at 9:09AM sharp (unless I get a call from a lost driver). We should be back at the cars by about noon.

Cool dogs are welcome.

Directions:
The trail head is in North Bend: 44200 SE Mt. Si Rd

- TAKE I-90 East towards North Bend and Spokane
- TAKE EXIT 32 (436th Ave SE) - the one just past the outlet mall
- Turn LEFT at 436th Ave SE/Cedar Falls Rd.
- Take the third LEFT onto Cedar Falls Way
- Take the first RIGHT onto 432nd Ave SE/Stilson Ave SE

I will be standing next to my black Jeep Wrangler. I am 6'4" and will be wearing a greenish gray baseball cap.

Call me if you will be late or are having trouble finding the place: [masked].

Start out your holiday break right with this fantastic hike. See you there
