Canal & Country Lanes Circular Bike Ride - 25 miles

Another lovely summer bike ride!

This route is approx 25miles, however if is very flat, but also very pretty.

We will start at Hickling, half of the route we will be following the Nottingham to Grantham canal, whilst the other half will be along quiet country lanes and through villages where we can stop off at pubs on route!

Please meet at 9.30am - to leave at 9.45am at the canal basin opposite The Plough pub, Main Street, Hicking, LE14 3AH. We will be returning to this pub at the end of the ride.

FREE parking on the roads in the village, this can get busy on a nice day, so allow plenty of time.

Please make sure your bike is in working order before arriving at the event therefore not delaying the start time.

We really encourage carpooling so that we can keep car numbers down both for the environment and the carparks. It's also a great way to get to know some people.
Please make sure to bring:
•Waterproof clothing, it is England after all
•Warm/cold weather layers. Prepare for all weather
•Enough water
•Lunch and snacks as needed.

Etiquette - If you can no longer attend the event, please remember to cancel yours and / or your guests rsvp as we often have people on the waiting list and it means we won't wait around for you either
