Join us for a stunning circular walk taking in the wild beauty of Wessenden Moor and the peaceful waters of Butterley Reservoir, right on the edge of the Peak District.
This route offers big skies, open moorland, and classic Pennine views, balanced with gentler reservoir-side paths.

Please come prepared for changeable moorland weather with suitable footwear as it WILL BE MUDDY

Please arrive at at 9.45 to leave at 10 promptly. Please car share where you can so we don't overload the area.

Afterward, we will be going to the church inn, Running Hill Gate, Uppermill, Oldham OL3 6LW which is a 10 min drive away Please note- I can NOT guarantee seating nor that they will be serving food, we are a large group that do not know exactly when we will be there. Therefore, reserving is difficult. I'd advise you to bring your own lunch just in case.

We really encourage carpooling so that we can keep car numbers down both for the environment and the carparks. It's also a great way to get to know some people.

•Waterproof clothing, it is England after all
•Warm/cold weather layers. Prepare for all weather
•Enough water for the duration of the walk
•Lunch and snacks as needed. There won't often be places to buy things en route
