Car/Bus Ramble: East Leake – Sutton Bonnington

What we will do: Start time 10.20am for 10.30am. from the car park opposite East Leake Fire Station and near East Leake Shops bus stop. We will walk via the public footpaths leaving East Leake on West Leake Lane, the route to & from Sutton Bonnington is 8.5 miles & can be shortened to 5 miles by splitting at the Star Pub & returning via West Leake Village. There will be opportunities to buy food & drinks at either the Star for the shorter walk or The Kings Head for the longer walk, there is also a good community village store & cafe on the main Sutton Bonnington village street.

Direction by car: Parking opposite the East Leake Fire Station, 2 Gotham Road, East Leake, Loughborough LE12 6JG, near the East Leake Shops bus stop.
Direction by bus: NCTX Blue Route No 1 to Loughborough from City, Beast Market Hill, Stop B2. Buses every 20 minutes, journey time approx. 45 mins. Best bus is the 9.20am from Nottingham arriving East Leake Shops bus stop 10.03am.

Important to know: There are usually 10-15 people on these walks. A lot of the walkers will be club members and are not on the Meetup website.

What to bring: Please dress appropriately for a country walk. Wear proper walking boots, bring a rucksack with liquid refreshment and some waterproof clothes depending on the weather forecast for the day.
