SHEPSHED, BELTON, LONG WHATTON 7.5 OR 10.75 MILE CIRCULAR WALK

Meet around 10:35 for 10:45 Start

A walk with the option of leaving at the 7.5-mile point by bus. Slightly hilly terrain with some rough ground and a few stiles.

Following Black Brook past Fishpool Grange, loop around the low woods lane towards Belton. We take a 30-minute break at the Queen's Head pub.

Then head to Long Whatton via a slightly uphill route over farmland.
We take a second 30-minute break at the Falcon Inn.

If you wish to leave the walk at this point, the Skylink bus runs back to Shepshed or the other direction, both around 14:26.
Should arrive in Long Whatton around 13:45 (3mph + 30 minutes)

The final 3.25 miles are across fields and around the edge of Piper Wood back to Shepshed.
