This week we'll be exploring how we can all learn to free ourselves from worry and stress – and, instead, live our lives more fully, more joyously... and with a much more success and achievement! And we'll be looking at this with the help of THREE of the world's leading experts in the fields of psychology, meditation and mindfulness, and performance enhancement.

Our main guides to this week's topic will be Judson Brewer MD, PhD (a leading psychiatrist and neuroscientist, who is the Director of Research at the Mindfulness Center of the University of Massachusetts Medical School), Polly Young-Eisendrath (an internationally acclaimed psychotherapist, who is also a celebrated teacher of Zen meditation), and Dr Dan Siegel (a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine and also Executive Director of the Mindsight Institute, which studies the benefits of Mindfulness).

During the meeting this Thursday we'll hear from these experts about exactly how and why Mindfulness is so effective at moving us away from worry, anxiety, and stress... but also at moving us, at the same time, into states of greater happiness, personal fulfilment and peak performance. And we'll explore how these more positive states of living (and the personal wellbeing they bring) are readily available to us all – through some very simple, and remarkably straightforward, strategies and life-hacks!

In the meeting Judson, Polly and Dan will share their expertise and insight with us in three short but inspiring pieces of video teaching, plus we'll join together in several periods of relaxing guided meditation (which will all be lead so that everyone shares in the same meditation experience, and to help those who are new to meditation). As usual, our regular host, Shaun Glossop (our Group director, who is an experienced and respected local mindfulness teacher) will be on hand to guide us through the week's topic in a down-to-earth and easy to understand way and support us in the periods of meditation.
