This is not your everyday country cover band. The songs are edgy and span over 50 years of outlaw country. You'll hear Waylon, Eric Church, Steve Earle, Whiskey Myers, Blackberry Smoke, Chris Stapleton, Tyler Childers, Dwight Yoakam, ZBB, Midland and more, including classic rock with a southern sound, like Petty, Eagles and Doobies. If you love live music, you will definitely love these outlaws known as The Virginia Rum Runners

Local music historian Ken Avis describes the Music History of Northern Virginia. In this series put on my Loudoun County Libraries, Ken previously did presentations on 100 Years of Black Music in Washington DC, and Music Women of the DMV. He has an entertaining style combining pictures, recordings, videos and talk with an amazing wealth of knowledge about the topics.
The presentation starts at 6:30 and will last around 90 minutes.

Ken Avis is a radio host and professional musician with world-jazz band Veronneau. His Music City lectures have been presented at The Smithsonian, George Mason University, American University and the DC Music Salon.

Old Ox Brewery makes and serves some of the best beers in Loudoun County. They also have wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks. Their kitchen provides great food, too.

Come to the "beach" and enjoy the alternative rock covers by local favorites, The Pool Boys, while sipping a cold cocktail in the sand and enjoying some sexy fries.

The Pool Boys are a rock cover band from Herndon, VA specializing in an eclectic mix of rock, pop and hip-hop cover songs from the last 30 years. Brothers in music, Jim Welfley locks in the beat on drums, Steve Linstrom nails down the bottom end on bass, and Dan Blanchet delivers the main melody on guitar and lead vocals and adds in the synth nuances that complete the PB's signature wall of sound. Whether your jam is high-energy rock tunes from bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Green Day and Rage Against the Machine or you prefer hip-hop party tunes from Eminem, Nelly, Dr. Dre and Run-DMC, or even if you’re more of a fan of the classics from the likes of Aerosmith, Tom Petty, the Doobie Brothers and Van Halen, the Pool Boys bring a little something for everyone with a few surprises mixed in.
