What we’re about

  • A caring community of environmental advocates passionate about building a sustainable future!
  • Leaders looking to grow & foster new leaders in the environmental community. (Looking for a leadership position to put on your resume? We can help with that, too!)
  • The Northern Virginia chapter of the Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN)!

These are our two campaigns:

  • Electrification (Electrifying our homes, appliances, & vehicles)
  • Reconnect to Nature & Community (Protecting green spaces & bringing those green spaces to our homes to foster walking & biking-friendly communities)

Knock Doors for Elizabeth Guzmán (Manassas area)!

Manassas VA, 00000, Manassas , VA, US

Sign up for Sunday, Oct 26th and other electoral events here.

Knock doors with us in House District 22 on Sunday, October 26th in Prince William County (near Manassas)! We will meet at the campaign office, receive training and a list of doors to knock, then disperse to our canvassing turfs in singles or in pairs (depending on experience and comfort level).

The candidate we're knocking doors for is Elizabeth Guzman, running for House of Delegates in HD22 against a Republican incumbent. She is a strong progressive candidate with a great environmental track record. Among many other accomplishments when she was previously a legislator, she co-founded the Virginia Green New Deal coalition and passed a House resolution declaring climate change an emergency. She was the first Latina immigrant to ever serve in Virginia's general assembly. Her district is expected to be super, super tight, so we need all of the people knocking doors that we can get!

We can offer mileage reimbursement to people who drive there, at 14 cents per mile, and can try to arrange carpools if folks don't have a ride. Email ting@chesapeakeclimate.org if you need a ride, or have questions about this or anything else.
