ABOUT OUR TOPIC
You may have the perfect concept, but until you know and understand your users, you'll have a hard time creating the perfect product. In this workshop, you will learn how to think like your users through a combination of engaging activities and educational materials. Using an example scenario, you will create a robust, non-biased interview script, learn how to efficiently analyze the data, and how to apply that to a design plan and roadmap. We'll also discuss how you can perform user research even in the smallest of budgets and how you can scale it up, if the resources are available. By the end of this workshop, you'll be ready to learn from your users and always remain one step ahead of their needs.

ABOUT OUR WORKSHOP FACILITATOR
Caitlin Abramson is a User Experience Architect and Frontend Developer at Whereoware, formerly LookThink, a UX consultancy in DuPont Circle, Washington DC. She attended the University of Virginia, studying Cognitive Science (concentration in Computer Science) and Social Entrepreneurship. Her work as a User Experience Architect includes discovery and research, where she helps clients identify user pain points, gaps in the system, a realistic project roadmap, and a vision for future product growth. She uses the outcomes of discovery to create a range of low-fidelity to high-fidelity, interactive prototypes. With her experience in Frontend Development, she helps transfer design language into development requirements and implement frontend styles and components. For each client, she enjoys learning their field of work and how best to introduce user experience and accessibility best practices.
