ABOUT THIS EVENT
Making sure that the design of digital products and services is inclusive for all requires attention to accessibility. And accessibility works best when it is integrated directly and throughout the design life-cycle. In the presentation, you’ll see an example of how accessibility was built into the design process by Blink for NASA’s new public-facing web site. You’ll see how accessibility was part of the early stakeholder meetings, part of the foundational research, innovated during design, and documented for development.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Joe Welinske lives near Seattle and works at Blink – an Mphasis company. As Accessibility Director, he helps staff build their accessibility skills and guides accessibility projects for clients.
Joe is also a co-organizer of the Seattle Accessibility and Inclusive Design Meetup group, a board member of the King Country Access Paratransit Advisory Committee, and a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies.
