Sharing America's Code with Code.gov

Details

Leveraging the power of code sharing and collaboration, Code.gov saves significant taxpayer dollars for the American people by helping the U.S. government cut down on duplicative software development. This initiative indexes open source projects from America’s federal agencies from the EPA to the DOD to GSA. Join the Northern Virginia Linux Users Group (NOVALUG) for a morning with Code.gov, and learn about their successes (and challenges) with open sourcing America’s code. Code.gov has indexed nearly 3900 Open Source Software projects from the U.S. Government. Showcased at this event will be some exciting projects including NSA-WALKOFF, CDC-MicrobeTrace, NASA-WorldWind, and USDOT-CARMA Autonomous vehicle platform.
