What we’re about
This group is for anyone interested in mindfulness, mindful living and meditation, whether you're new to these or have a longstanding practice. We'll meet periodically to discuss specific mindfulness themes and readings/books, explore various mindfulness practices, share tips and insights, and participate in a guided meditation .
Our goals are to build community around practices that are often quite solitary:
- To help DC-area meditators connect with one another
- To explore mindfulness and meditation more deeply together in community through practice, discussion, readings, outings and more
- To share support, encouragement, tips, insights and resources with one another
- To provide regular meetings that help reinforce our mindfulness and meditation practices and build in some accountability for those looking for more regularity and solidity in their practice
- To introduce members to various styles of meditation, mindfulness and related practices
