In celebration of America’s 250th birthday, we invite community members to share their personal memories of the Bicentennial year, 1976. From local parades and neighborhood barbecues to national moments and the nationwide celebrations connected to the United States Bicentennial, every story helps preserve the spirit of this historic time. Stories will be collected all summer long. Once compiled, in the fall, we will share your stories on our website and with the Behnke Museum as a lasting tribute. Interviews will take place at the Paramus Public Library. Fill out our google form to schedule your interview. This program is open to all residents past and present of Paramus, NJ.
