Join us on Friday, November 20th at 7:00 PM at Cooks & Soldiers in West Midtown as we take on the entirety of Nettle & Bone by T. Kingfisher (Approximately 272 pages). Come hungry and ready to talk, and we'll get a table sorted once everyone rolls in.

Marra is the third daughter in a royal family. She was shy and raised in a convent, which spared her the usual fate of princesses: getting married off for the benefit of a throne that never cared much about her. Her sister wasn’t so lucky. After years of keeping quiet, Marra is done watching her suffer at the hands of a powerful and abusive prince. She goes looking for help with a rescue and finds someone willing to give her what she needs, but only after she finishes three tasks that ought to be impossible: build a dog out of bones, sew a cloak of nettles, and catch moonlight in a jar. Those tasks turn out to be only the beginning. There are princes and witches, a throne that could stand to come down, and a quest with impossible tasks as its price of admission. Marra never wanted to be a hero. By the time she’s on the road, she has a disgraced ex-knight, a reluctant fairy godmother, and an enigmatic gravewitch with a fowl familiar along for the trip.
