About us
A book club for women who love reading books about or set in NYC! These will vary in genre from month to month...classics, memoirs, chick-lit, an entertaining non-fiction...the idea is that every book is somehow related to NYC! We'll gather together over cocktails/coffee/bevvy-of-choice once a month to discuss the book, and also try out a variety of NYC bars/cafes. As of Summer 2024, there will also be a monthly virtual option for book club.
Who Should Join: Women who enjoy reading books on a variety of topics*, enjoy discovering new bars/cafes in NYC, and who want to meet other women! *also, who can commit to reading at least a decent amount of the book once they've RSVP'd. I'm sure we've all had the experience of being in a book club and being the only one to have read the book...makes discussion a wee more difficult;-)
Why You Should Join: To have fun (most important!), meet new people, and have a group of friends to discuss books with!
What Members Can Expect: A once a month meet up held at varying bars/cafes/atriums in Manhattan on a weeknight evening. Due to space restrictions in booking tables, the meet-ups will be capped at a pretty low number, making for a more intimate group.

Discuss "Harriet The Spy" IN PERSON
David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center, 10 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, NY, USLet's kick off the almost-spring-in-NYC month with a children's literature throwback, the classic book "Harriet The Spy". Here's the link: https://amzn.to/477ndIR, and the description.
Harriet M. Welsch is a spy. In her notebook, she writes down everything she knows about everyone, even her classmates and her best friends. Then Harriet loses track of her notebook, and it ends up in the wrong hands. Before she can stop them, her friends have read the always truthful, sometimes awful things she’s written about each of them. Will Harriet find a way to put her life and her friendships back together?
