Presenter: Dina Pavlis, Producer/Host - Beyond Your Front Door Northwest
Join us for an overview of native plant habitats found in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. The presentation will include "then and now" information, why open sand is disappearing and how that impacts native plants, how and why native plant habitats changed dramatically during the twentieth century, and current efforts to try and save them.
Dina Pavlis served as a volunteer USFS interpretive ranger at the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area for over twenty years. She is author of the book "Secrets of the Oregon Dunes," host/producer of the syndicated radio show, "Beyond Your Front Door Northwest," an avid hiker, and nature photographer. We're excited for her to share her wealth of knowledge about the Oregon Dunes with us!
