Are you ready for your first hike of the year? Then join the Native Plant Society of Oregon's Portland Chapter as we "pick up sticks" in 2026, and count Pacific Yew trees. According to the Ranger at McIver Park, we may even find the largest one in the United States! Fairly level, easy hike, but we may have to step over some windblown trees from recent storms.
Don't know what a yew is, check out this iNaturalist link.
Come prepared for wet trails and conditions: bring water, snack, and hiking stick.

We will be meeting at Estacada Lake Parking lot, at the end of the Entrance Rd.
