The Dalles Mountain Ranch Hike

Join Virginia Bowers for The Dalles Mountain Ranch Hike, an early season hike to try to find the rare state-endangered Dalles Mountain Buttercup (Ranunculus reconditus) and other early blooming species. Because there will not be many flowers, the plan is to hike to the summit of Stacker Butte which has amazing views if the weather is clear. This is a moderate 5.4 mile hike with 1200 foot elevation gain. The hike is entirely along a gravel road.
