THIS MONTH'S TALK IS NOT AT OUR USUAL LOCATION. We will be at Hotel Tonight HQ at 901 Market Street (5th and Market). The space is limited to 100 attendees. If you RSVP and find out you cannot make it, please release your spot so it can be available to someone else.
This month Jacob Jennings from Hotel Tonight will be presenting "Drawing & Animation Architecture/Performance". This talk will explain how developers can be more efficient with their drawing and animation. It will cover a high-level intro, strategy, profiling, optimizations, value clamping, rasterization, and more.
Jacob is an iOS Developer for Hotel Tonight (http://www.hoteltonight.com/), a mobile last-minute hotel booking app. A recent adopter and fanboy of AppCode, Jacob writes for the Hotel Tonight engineering blog (http://engineering.hoteltonight.com/) and Why AppCode is Nice (http://whyappcodeisnice.com/). Every month, we meet for some tech talks and free beer. iOS developers can present their newest project/library and then we'll have an hour of networking and drinks. Topics will stay specific to Objective-C and iOS. Open-source projects are highly encouraged, please reach out to Steve Derico if you are interested in speaking.
This month's meetup with be at Hotel Tonight. Please do your best to arrive before 8pm, we will start the talk at 8:05pm. We cannot hold the door open for everyone once the talk has started.
